YEARNING Part Ways With HOLY RECORDS, Seek New Label Home
May 17, 2006Finnish progressive dark/doom-metal band YEARNING have parted ways with France's Holy Records after a four-album collaboration and are currently seeking a new label home. The is currently working on their fourth album with a working title "Merging into Landscapes". According to the band, the new material is "a bit more complex and heavy compared to previous album, 'Evershade'," but the [group's] trademark, immense melancholy and darkness, are there present as always."
In other news, YEARNING drummer Kristonic will sit behind the kit for the last two farewell gigs of the Finnish black metal band THYRANE — on May 20-21 in Tampere and Helsinki, respectively (also featuring SATYRICON and ENOCHIAN CRESCENT).
